I HAVE RETURNED! Part 1!

Yes..Yes...I’m bloody well back...ohhh-yes!! Hide the Silverware and Candy and close the curtains and duck down out of sight behind a sofa! For, I have returned after travelling thousands of miles, Flew to heights that you could never climb and farted in lands that you may never see.....OH YES....It’s the return of the Beaky Blog! Shiver with terror, gasp at great tales of bravery and sigh at my..er..manly manly-ness..type fink! Mmm..should of thought that through a bit more...mmm..yes...DOH! Aye ya! I'm back!!!!! 2nd day (3rd back in the country) back at work and I’ve got to say I’m not liking it one bit. Nope...it certainly does not suit me atttt alll! For starters...you have to get up like around 7am...YES...7am! What’s that all about? And the other thing too! It's sooooo bloody cold....they have given out Snow today....yep..you have read that right....bloody snow! It's s'pose to be bloody British Summer time now...the clocks have moved on...the nights are a little lighter. I'm s'pose to be ironing my shorts of a thousand pockets in readiness for scaring bumble bee's and sitting in the garden staring up at deep blue skies. Not trudging about with me winter hat and coat and dodging flamin' ice and frost! I have to say I do feel fairly chilled out despite my little whines here about work, cold and you hiding your silverware now....and I must admit the last few weeks have been a right mix bag of experiences. Big Highs and big lows too. I'm not sure how I will get to tell you all from my adventures (I mean~i'm bloody 40 years old now and the memory isn’t what it used to be~shaddap.....I didn't ask for a comment!! lol) and so I will split my blog into two so I don't over bore you and plus I can send photo's from my Egypt trip and you can relate to it a bit more easier.
I'll start off by telling you about the Stag doo that I went on directly after coming back from Egypt. Again, I’m doing this coz I have photo's from Egypt and nothing (yet) from the stag doo. I'd landed back at East midlands airport in the early hours of the Friday morning. Getting home around 2am that morning. The Saturday I was off around 6am to meet up with the lads to get down to Luton Airport and catch the flight to Krakow (Poland) on the cheap and cheerful airline easy jet. I was so very grateful just to have Friday to at least catch up on some sleep and get my weekend bag sorted and packed ready for stag weekend. We'd got the grooms house early and had a costume all sorted and ready for him to travel in. Yes, he was going to be travelling has a baby~Nappy (Diaper), Bib, bonnet, dummy and feeding bottle. We were not too hard on him has we did get him a flesh coloured body suit to wear under it. Well, we'd check weather forecasts for Krakow in Poland and it had been snowing the week before...lol! He was alright about it....I think he was quite relieved because we had been winding him up that we'd actually gotten him a mankini and that he would of had to have waxed...lol. Yes...evil...but, it just wasn’t me...ok? I just got the body suit...see...I was concerned for the poor lad...er...cackles! He did get some funny looks at the airport and his bag did have to get searched by security. lol! Had some breakfast there and then we were on our way. The flight was not too bad to be honest. Seats where a bit cramped up it's was just over a 2 hour flight. Coz it is a cheap airline you are not actually allocated seat numbers. So, the 16 of us ended up being dotted about the plane a little bit. Just made it so we took over the plane a bit. hehe. Krakow "International" airport was a shed and a taxi rank~not very big. A Mini bus was waiting to take us to the hotel which was in the centre of the city. Took us about 20 minutes to get there from the airport. Got to say too that the weather was glorious and much better than we'd left behind in GB. The hotel was brilliant. Right plush....5 stars easy. We checked in and then dumped all the bags and met up in the bar about 20minutes later. by now it was around lunch time. Once every one came down from the rooms (the groom had gotten changed by then back into Civvies clothes) we took a walk up to the city square which was only 5 minutes away. Massive Square it was....but beautiful. Massive churches in each corner of the square and then in between where cafes, bars and restaurants. They had lots of street theatre going off and the place really was quite beautiful. We sat outside a cafe and had a drink and watched the world go by and had a bit of a laugh. From there we dropped down to Subway to get a sandwich and then strolled around a bit more to get our bearings. It was great. In the end we found a bar showing English footy and we piled in there. Then it started to hit me. I sat down and got half way down a pint and I just drained. I sat watching the footy and kept being asked if I was ok (Un-nerving when I go quiet you see..and when I’ve stopped drinking too...lol). I thought it just must be Egypt and the flights I’d done over the last few weeks catching up on me~not counting the late night I’d had getting home from there and then the early start that morning. One of the lads Kev (he is a bit of a Monster) got me a pint...told me to get it down me and it would sort me out. lol. I carried on watching the footy but didn't touch a drop. I'd got a pint and a half on the table~and left it. I felt my eyes going and thought "I’ve just got to get back to the hotel and get me head down for a sleep". I had a word with me mate and told him I’m going to slip off back to the hotel and not to say anything to anyone until after I’d gone. I just wanted to get myself right for the evening. I got back...kicked my shoes off and was gone. Out like a light and dead to the world. My pal came back and woke me up and they were getting ready to go out. I was in a total daze. He came out the bathroom and told me to shake a leg. I sat up and then bang....I drained and bent up double in pain. Stomach cramp like I’d never had before ever. I got to the bathroom and well...it was not pretty. Ever seen the Exorcist? lol. Well, will leave it at that. I was soo ill. Very very ill. Both ends. I never made it out that night. One of the lads came back later that night to check on me...and I was still being ill. I was burning up...then shivering cold. It got silly to the point where I could not bring anymore up. My stomach still was cramping (felt like squeezing your fist up tight in a ball). I strained my side coz I was still trying violently to bring stuff up. I Nearly called for the doctor it was that bad. I eventually did sort of pass out with exhaustion. My Friend must of came in around 3.30 and I never heard him. He checked on me to make sure I was ok but I was out for the count. I woke next morning feeling like I’d been run over by a train that had then backed up over me just to make sure. I'd strained myself that much that I didn't feel like I could stand up straight properly. I felt so groggy. I had a long shower and got some fresh clothes on that sort of made me feel a little better. I had nooo idea what had hit me. Be it food poisoning, something I’d gotten from Egypt and I’ve since learned after getting back that there is a nasty stomach bug doing the rounds in the UK right now. I'd never been that ill before though. I went down for breakfast which was a buffet. I had some water, bit of tea and I tried some toast. Good news was it all stayed in. The lads where going to take a walk down to the river so I made darn' well that I’d get out with them. Needed some fresh air and I’d not travelled all that way to stare at my bed or the bog for the weekend. The air helped and I got a bottle of water and felt a little better. Like I said..the city is beautiful and of course has a dark past with the war. Auschwitz is just a few miles outside of the city and there are plaques and memorials all over the city. We eventually ended up back at the square and sat in another bar playing pool and watching some footy. The lads drank but I stuck to water and I did try a bit of Pizza too. I just felt soooo shattered. I headed back early again and slept more. I was determined that nooo way was I staying in that night. I slept well, and after showered. We all met up around 7.30 and went back up the square to have a meal. Found this great place that was all set up underground. Had steak and chips.....ate some of it but could not manage it all. Least I was getting some stuff back in me. We left there...did a few more bars (I was on water...sigh) and before we knew it the time was 2.30 gone. I had an ok night but it was sooo hard going. Soon has I got back to the hotel, I was gone and out light a light. The next morning I did go for breakfast and had more water, toast and such. I had a stinking headache too but that was from being so violently ill that it had dehydrated me. Took one more look up at the main city square before heading back and checking out. By 1.30pm we were flying home. Again, I slept all the flight and most of the taxi journey back. I was soo disappointed with myself for being ill and I just hope I didn't ruin the trip for anyone. It was like they were carrying me a bit. I got home, hot bath and bed. Slept right through until late next morning. I got up and showered and had some soup and toast. Then slept again....it's all I did on Tuesday, slept. I am feeling a lot-lot better although down one side I do feel a little delicate. I'm eating better but not full right just yet. And yes....I’m still feeling tired a little even now. Gah....what a wimp! Lol!

Okies...I’ve gone on long enough and I’ll update you on how Egypt with some pics. I can tell you it was a lot bettererererer than Poland and there are no stories of toilets or stomach cramps there. Lol....promise!
