Angels and Demons.

Went to the flicks on Friday night to see Tom Hanks latest movie and the second of Dan Browns Robert Langdon books (the first being the Da Vinci code). I had read Angels and Demons a few years back whilst sprawled out on a sun lounger in Cyprus. Just could not put it down and so was interested to see how the film transferred to celluloid. I was a little disappointed with the Da Vinci Code when that came out but with A&D I really enjoyed it. Shows of Rome’s Sites beautifully (A must SEE City if ever you get the chance) and after a slow start the movie does crank it up. Tom Hanks is a safe pair of hands in any movie and he is good has the professor of Symbology sent for by the Vatican in what could be their darkest hour. OVERVIEW~ The Roman Catholic Church mourns the death of the Pope in Rome. Until the College of Cardinals selects a new Pope, Camerlengo Patrick McKenna (Ewan McGregor) assumes day-to-day control of Vatican City. Reporters, nuns, priests, and other faithful all crowd into Saint Peter's Square, waiting for the white smoke from the conclave.

The Vatican summons Professor Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) and Vittoria Vetra (Ayelet Zurer) from CERN to help them solve the Illuminati's threat, save the four preferiti, and find the hidden bomb(anti-matter). Langdon listens to the Illuminati message and deduces that the four cardinals will die at the four altars of the Path of Illumination.

7.5 Beaks out of 10!
