I went to the Cinema last week to see the Blockbuster Avatar. I went with a group of Friends and decided on seeing the Movie in 3D. Avatar is a science fiction epic film written and directed by James Cameron and starring Sam Worthington. The film is set in the year 2154 on Pandora, a moon in the Alpha Centauri star system. Humans are engaged in mining Pandora's reserves of a precious mineral, while the Na'vi—a race of indigenous humanoids—resist the colonists' expansion, which threatens the continued existence of the Na'vi and the Pandoran ecosystem. The film's title refers to the genetically engineered bodies used by the film's characters to interact with the Na'vi. The movie is over and a half hours long but boy did it just fly by. Really, even if you are not into science fiction go and see this movie in 3D. The visuals really will blow your socks off! The planet of Pandora is a lush forest jungle environment and with the aid of the 3D glasses it really gives you the impression of being there~ part of the film. I’ve watch things in 3D long ago and the colours and clarity were always very poor. I just cannot get over how jaw droppingly beautiful the visuals are in this movie. GO SEE IT…at the Cinema….in 3D!!
