Noticed the other day at work when i was washing my hands after visiting the bath room, a note that has been pinned up on the mirror above the wash basins. It's a poster expalaining on how to wash your hands. Yes...on how to wash your hands!! lol I kid you not. Seems that we really are becoming a Nanny state. Next week i hear they are going to post ones around the department for "doing up your shoe laces", "drinking out of a cup" and one on "how to breathe and blink". ;-)

Is it me...or does this look like a Mis-Match?

These two are going to slug it out for teh heavey weight title in November....LOOK AT THE BLOODY SIZE OF THE RUSSIAN!!!

Haye promises knockout

Hayemaker promising KO when he takes on giant Russian in November

David Haye insists he can knock out Nikolai Valuev after squaring up with the giant Russian at the venue of their November fight in Nuremburg.
'The Hayemaker' fights Valuev for the WBA world heavyweight title on November 7 in Nuremburg, and he had his first glimpse of the size of his task at Tuesday's press conference.
Former cruiserweight king Haye does face a huge task, with 7ft 2in Valuev the biggest heavyweight champion of all time standing in the opposite corner come fight night.
Haye was dwarfed by Valuev as the two men met in Germany, but despite that fact the 28-year-old still insists he can stop Valuev for the first time in his career.
"Now I've been eyeball to eyeball with him and seen the arena, it makes it all that much more real in my mind," said Haye.

Gotta love the line that he has been eyeball to eyeball with him...lol! Who ya Money on then?

Elbow~One Day Like this.

I have only just sort of discovered this song about a month or so back. It's by a band called Elbow and i first heard parts of this song last year when the Olympics was on. The BBC used the sweeping violin parts when showing results or of the days events coming up on the show. I never knew it was from a "pop" song and Elbow had never been a mega popular band until the release of their last Album, the seldom seen kid. It's not a bad album, worth checking out on spotify (try itttt-it's freee....freee music~just a 30 second ad every 3-4 songs). Hope ya like it....let me know what you think...oh, and yes...i have no idea what the video is about...but ya kinda get sucked into it. Cerrr-mon...put ya hands up who WOULD'NT do that while doing that sorta work?

Leicester City 2 Blackpool 1

Went to watch my local Footy (Soccer-i soo hate that bloody word!)team over the weekend. It was a glorious day weather wise which helped the beer go down better. The home ground is the Walkers (you might know them better has Lays the chip makers-based in Leicester)Stadium and holds around 32,500. The attendence on saturday was just shy of 23,000. The day was made sweeter by the fact that we won and are now 3 points of top spot in 6th place. BLUEEEE ARRRRRRMY!! "When you're smiling, when you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you,
"When you're laughing, when you're laughing, the sun comes shining through,
"But when you're crying, you bring out the rain,
"So stop you're sighing, be happy again,
"Cause when you're smiling, when you're smiling,
"The whole world smiles with you, Ahhhh, (wiggle hands in the air)
"The whole world smiles with you, Ahhhh, (wiggle hands in the air)
"THE - (hands open for each word) WHOLE - WORLD - SMILES - WITH - (wiggle hands in the air) YOOOOOOOOOOOU!
"Oh LEICESTER (Clap clap clap),
"Oh LEICESTER (Clap clap clap),
"Oh LEICESTER!!~~~aherm....cough.... ;-))

Check out my Plums!

The last few years i've had a go and growing my own veg. I've always been this sorta guy that was never up much for gardening and always saw it has an old man thing. lol. I had never grown a thing in my lige other than toe nails and hair. So, i thought that with having a spare patch of ground in my garden i'd have a bloody good go and growning some veg. I have had some sucess and was quite proud of the stuff i'd got to sprout out of the ground. People who know me will have been bored to tears about the size of me carrots over the past few years. This year i've been slack not planting anYthing. I had a crop of strawberry's, Raspberrys, blackberrys and Rhubarb~but they were already planted from previous years. I do have a plumb tree in my garden and after a fallow year it went bonkers this one. I did get quite a bit of fruit from it which i've been farming out to neighbours, family and even work. There are only sooo many plumbs you can eat alone. Eeeee-getcha Gums around me Plumbs!

After coming back from my hols i had another week off from work. I spent this time doing some work on my house and pottering about the place. One day thoough i took some time off plastering and painting to take my Niece out to Bradgate Park. Bradgate Park is Leicestershire's largest and most popular country park. It comprises of 840 acres of land with grass, heath, bracken, rocky outcrops, small woods, herds of deer and the River Lin. The Park also includes the ruins of Bradgate House, the birthplace and early home of Lady Jane Grey (Nine Days Queen of England.) Old John Tower folly, a well known Leicestershire landmark, stands on the ridge of high land. (psst-yes i did just copy and paste that-lol). My Niece is about 18-19 months old so she loved feeding the ducks her (jam) sandwiches and looking at the deer (see the pictures i took above). Its only 4-5 miles from my house and it's just a lovely place to go and be away from town and such. AND yes...i was incharge of the pushchair and i did do wheelies with it while my Niece was in it. cackle!

Newquay~Summer Holiday!

Well, this year due the current Monetary climate there was no jetting off to some Mediterranean beach or some far flung adventure. Some of my friends are in the state of worry over their jobs or just simply could not afford it this year….me included. So, we decided that we’d go down south to Cornwall and do the camping thing. It’s always a laugh and if the weather is right then you just cannot beat it. Well, we booked into a site a few months before because a good site can get booked up very fast. We didn’t fancy getting down there and ending up in some cow field being chased by some angry bull coz he thought we’d be butting in on his chicks-er-aherm. Me mate Skel booked it and left it at that. The site sounded great. It wasn’t until nearer the time that we found out the site was in fact an 18-30’s camp site and with looking it up on youtube we found that teenagers videoed themselves rallying about the camp site until the early hours with music blasting out. Gah…then the next problem was the weather. Rain. It gave out buckets of the stuff to fall that week. DARN IT! So, we needed a back up plan and we found one. Was really lucky and managed to get a 8 berth static trailer van right in the Centre of Newquay. We went for it. Lol! The weather was off and on all week. Had a few good days but even on the poor days we found stuff to do. Did some surfing (I stood up once too~wooot me!), went to lands end and watched a huge firework display. Went to St Ives and had a clotted cream ice cream and Cornish pasty. Did a Cyder farm (and for those of you that are wondering, this is alcoholic proper Scrumpy you can see from the website here-http://www.thecornishcyderfarm.co.uk/ ). We were about battered that day. Ya have to try the free samples. OMG! They did it all, wine, mead and the apple and pear Cyder. Visited a place called Perranporth and drank at the Aussie beach shack. They had a battle of the bands on which was really good. Did a BBQ one night and on one rainy day even went to the movies to see a right lads movie~Transformers 2. Nuff said about Megan Fox. Lol The pictures above from the top left and centre are of Chapel Port. They used to mine tin there. Bottom left is Minehead which is in Somerset . Top right was the beach at PerranPorth-it’s known for it’s surfing. Bottom right is St Ives which is very picturesque. And centre right…BBQ TIME! Next year…we are going abroad for some sun…I can tell you. Plus, can you imagine the smells of 6 blokes in a caravan over a week? ;-))
